The Nike Dunk High University Red features an original colorway of the vintage basketball shoe from the 1985 "Be True to Your School" pack. The University Red , or as it is more commonly known, the St. John's , was released in March 2022 and is a new version of the shoe worn by members of the St. John's Red Storm college basketball team in the mid-1980s. The pair features a white leather base with University Red leather overlays on the forefoot, eyelets and heel. A contrasting red leather swoosh is found on the center panel alongside white embroidered Nike detailing on the heel. In addition, the nylon tongue of the same light color features a woven label with the Nike brand in red. Underfoot, the rubber outsole features a traction pattern originally developed for the collegiate court in the pair's contrasting color.
